Nestled in the tranquil countryside, the historical charm of the beautiful house was captivating, offering a serene retreat from bustling tourist areas. The impeccably maintained garden and inviting swimming pool provided a luxurious touch to the rustic setting, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. Despite the language barrier with the staff, their warmth and genuine hospitality shone through, exemplified by thoughtful gestures like providing complimentary cold water upon arrival and assisting with personalized itineraries. The attention to detail extended to the dining experience, where the option for half board at a nearby restaurant showcased the best local flavors. The breakfast spread, featuring an array of fresh fruits and delectable pastries, was a delightful start to each day. La Maison Rouge B&B not only met but surpassed my stringent criteria for an authentic Italian escape, leaving me eager to return and savor more of its exceptional offerings.
